Hi, Shelly Marie here!  And I'm excited to host this challenge this month!  For this month we are learning about color isolation.  And this is one of my most favorite things to do with pictures!  There is more than one way to isolate color in your photo, but I am going to tell you just one way:

1- First select the photo you would like to isolate color in.

2- Layer from Background, and duplicate the layer ie your picture.

3- On the top layer or picture, make it black and white (or sepia for something different) by clicking on Image menu, then Adjustments, then Black & White.

4- Then taking the eraser, erase the black and white (top layer or photo) of what you want to show in color.

5- It will then show the color of the bottom layer or original photo underneath where you are erasing.

6-Have fun!  I seriously love doing these!

Here is just a picture I did and also the layout I created for this challenge.  It shows just my husband and me and our 3 kids in color with everyone else in our extended family in black and white:) For fun... I let the castle turrets be blue, too. Made with my kit, Stroke of Midnight, on sale now!

Challenge Rules:
1) The layout for each challenge must be new and unique.  You cannot use the same layout for more than one challenge.

2) Layouts are simple, of course we would love to see what you come up with our Designer's kits, but we want you to know you may use outside kits for these challenges as long as you do not post outside links in the gallery.

3) Upload your layout to the appropriate technique challenge gallery.

4) Post your links in the Monthly Tracking Thread.

5) Challenge ends at 11:59pm PST on the last day of the month.
